Re “Little Expressions on the Big Screen” (review, July 28):
I have some questions for the reviewer of the “The Emoji Movie.” Do you even use emojis? And why did you use so many big words in your review?
I’m 10 — well, almost 10 — and here’s my review of “The Emoji Movie.” This was a movie that younger kids could understand well because it had things in it that are new in the 21st century, and this generation could understand it better. I liked how the filmmakers took different apps like Spotify and Facebook and made them into different worlds, as when they made Spotify streaming music into a river. It was a smart idea.
The “be yourself” message that the movie had was a good message even though a lot of movies have a “be yourself” message. But “The Emoji Movie” did it in a different way.
