Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport Guide

Checkpoint workarounds: Concourses C, D and E each have their own checkpoint. No pass-through to other concourses post-security.

Most convenient: Hourly (closest to terminal), $23/day. Daily, $13/day. Surface, $14/day. First 30 minutes of parking are free. Motorcycles park free.

Cellphone lot: Located within the Surface Lot. First 30 minutes free.

Most convenient: Taxi to downtown will cost about $27 and take about 10 minutes. Free shuttle bus runs between airport and Milwaukee Airport Railroad Station; Amtrak provides non-stop service to downtown Milwaukee. Uber and Lyft are permitted to pick up/drop off passengers. See more options.

Least expensive: Milwaukee County Transit bus #80 or MCTS Green Line express bus will cost $2.25 and take about 30 minutes. See schedules and information.

First 20 minutes of Wi-Fi is free. Additional time offered by Boingo.

Power outlets: Concourse C has a free work center with outlets. Extra outlets have been installed in lounge-style public seating areas.

Good choice for local gifts: The Milwaukee Marketplace, Harley-Davidson Store (company is headquartered in Milwaukee).  See more options.

Good choice for local food: Concession Mall: Miller Brewhouse (self-service beer taps at tables), Northpoint (burgers, frozen custard), Colectivo Coffee. Concourse C: Pizzeria Picola, Colectivo Coffee. Concourse D: Leinie Lodge (Wisconsin-brewed Leinenkugel beers, self-serve taps and light meals), Usinger's (sausage), Nonna Bartolotta's (local Italian restaurant), Colectivo Coffee. See more options.

MKE has a free aviation history museum, a bank branch, a branch of Renaissance Books (new/used at discount), a free ping-pong table (near Concourse E entrance) and newly upgraded children's play areas on all three concourses (the play area on Concourse D looks out onto the airfield.) Mamava Lactation Suites are located on Concourses C and D and in the Concession Mall. An indoor pet relief area is adjacent to the family restroom in the Concession Mall.

The Harley Davidson Museum is 7 miles from the airport. Lake Michigan lakefront beaches, public parks, a swimming pool, golf course and a driving range are within a 5-mile radius of the airport. Downtown Milwaukee is 7 miles.
