The Knicks may want to keep RJ Barrett in bubble wrap, as another top pick goes down.

Memphis Grizzlies rookie guard Ja Morant, the No. 2-overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, didn’t travel for the team’s Sunday game at Minnesota because of back spasms. The Grizzlies said in a statement on Saturday that Morant’s status is “week to week.”

Morant now joins Zion Williamson, the No. 1-overall pick, on the sidelines. Williamson hasn’t played a regular-season game this season after having arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn lateral meniscus in his right knee on Oct. 21. He was expected to miss at least 6-8 weeks.

Morant, who is averaging 18.6 points to lead all rookies, first experienced the spasms in Monday’s 126-114 loss to the Indiana Pacers. He re-aggravated them in Friday’s 103-94 loss to the Utah Jazz.

Barrett, who the Knicks snagged with the No. 3 selection, has been the most durable of the bunch, playing in 18 of the team’s first 19 games. He’s averaging 15.3 points to go along with 5.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists.
